Terms & conditions

These terms apply to English lessons from Native Fluency, taught by Nicole Ferreira (tax number [number]), in Braga. By booking a lesson or a package, you accept these conditions.

1. Lessons

  • All lessons are one-to-one and last 60 minutes.
  • Lessons are in person, in Braga and the surrounding area, at a location agreed by both parties.
  • Online lessons are an exception, agreed case by case, when the student's schedule doesn't allow an in-person lesson.

2. Trial lesson

The first lesson is free and carries no obligation to buy a package.

3. Packages and prices

  • Packages have 2, 3 or 5 lessons a week, for 3, 6 or 12 months. A single lesson costs €20 per hour.
  • Current prices are those published on the Services & pricing page.
  • All prices shown exclude VAT.
  • With the couples pack, two people buy the same package and each has their own one-to-one lessons, with €1 per hour off per person, down to a minimum of €15 per hour.

4. Payment

  • The monthly fee is fixed, based on an average of 4.33 weeks per month, and is paid at the start of each month, before that month's lessons.
  • Single lessons are paid on the day.
  • If a payment is late, lessons may be suspended until it is settled.

5. Missed lessons and rescheduling

  • Lessons cancelled at least 24 hours in advance are rescheduled within the following four weeks, at an agreed time.
  • Lessons missed without notice, or with less than 24 hours' notice, count as given.
  • If the teacher cancels, the lesson is always rescheduled or deducted from the next monthly fee.

6. Pauses and holidays

Students can pause their package for up to four weeks a year, with at least one week's notice. The package is extended by the same period and no fee is charged for the paused weeks.

7. Cancellation

  • Students can cancel their package at any time with 30 days' notice.
  • In that case, the hourly price of lessons already taken is adjusted to that of the package matching the time completed (or the single-lesson price, if under 3 months), and the difference is settled in the final monthly payment.
  • In case of moving away, long illness or other force majeure, we will always look for a fair solution for both sides.

8. Changes

These terms and prices may be updated. Price changes do not apply to packages already purchased until the end of their duration.
