Privacy policy

Who we are

Native Fluency is an English lessons project run by teacher Nicole Ferreira, based in Braga, Portugal ("we"). For any privacy question, email us at email.

This website collects no personal data

  • It has no forms, user accounts or members' area.
  • It uses no cookies, analytics or advertising tools.
  • Fonts and images are served by the site itself, with no third-party services.

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.). Like any web server, GitHub may log technical access data, such as IP addresses, for security purposes. That processing is GitHub's responsibility and is described in the GitHub Privacy Statement.

When you contact us

If you contact us on WhatsApp, by email or on Instagram, we receive the data you choose to share (for example your name, phone number, email address and message). We use it only to:

  • reply to you and book lessons;
  • manage lessons and payments, if you become a student;
  • issue an invoice, when you ask for one.

The legal basis is your request and the performance of the lessons contract and, for invoicing, compliance with legal obligations. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing.

Those services (WhatsApp, Instagram and the email provider) have their own privacy policies.

How long we keep data

Contact details of people who don't go on to take lessons are deleted after 12 months. Student data is kept while lessons continue and, after that, only for as long as the law requires (for example, invoicing records).

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you can ask to access, correct, erase, restrict or port your data, or object to its processing, by emailing us at the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).

Changes

If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page with its update date.
